Delacour Overcomes Slew of Mud Balls to Earn 2014 LPGA Tour Card
DAYTONA BEACH, FL | Perrine Delacour, who hails from Saint Cloud, France, overcame a slew of mud balls throughout tournament week at LPGA International's Jones and Hills courses to earn her 2015 LPGA Tour card with B.J. Pitzen on her bag. Delacour remained consistent each day turning in scores under-par heading into the fifth and final round. As the wind blew and temperatures dropped, Delacour went out in 1-over par 37 to make the turn and find herself on the bubble at 4-under par. Delacour's nerves calmed with a 1-under par on the back nine to help solidify her spot as one of 20 women to earn her card through Q-School after firing 5-under par 355 for the five rounds. After working together in the final regular 2014 U.S. event in September at the LPGA Tour's Yokohama Classic in Pratville, AL and the Suncoast Ladies Tour's final event at the Jones course at the end of November, Delacour and Pitzen teamed up along with swing coach Adrien Mork of France to earn LPGA Category 12 status.
