LAKE BUENA VISTA, FL | Have you ever had the yips? A great way to battle putting woes is to use the left hand low method (cross-handed) when putting from short distances. Because I've not been able to play in tournaments consistently, I've developed a bad case of the frightening yips.
A thought came to my mind yesterday while playing in the Florida Hospital Golden Gala Pro-Am at Disney's Palm Course to utilize the cross-handed method on short putts.
Today on the Magnolia Course, it made my putting stroke more smooth.
Needless to say, my scores this week were otrocious. However, I'm encouraged that I won a skin after draining a 60 foot putt on Sunday on No. 8 of the Palm course, which was my first hole of the day, for birdie and a skin worth $130.
