Date:
Oct. 18, 2012

LAKELAND, FL | B.J. Pitzen looped (caddied) for Adrien Mork, a tour professional originally from France who resides seasonally in Orlando, FL.

Mork shot 73-74 in the first two rounds at Grasslands Golf & Country Club to total a 3-over par 147. The cut-line at the mid-way point was 6-under par, so Mork needed to fire 15-under for the final two rounds in order to advance safely onto the PGA Tour's Second Stage of qualifying.

Pitzen has played in the PGA Tour's qualifying tournament seven times (2002, 2004-2009) and caddied in it for four consecutive years (2009-2012). In particular, Pitzen played at Grasslands in the First Stage in 2005, '06 and '07.

The wind was at a minimum throughout the tournament days of October 16-19, including the practice rounds.

Mork teed off at 10 a.m. on Thursday with Matt Borchert, a former PGA Tour player, and Stephen Grant in hopes of making a move towards advancing to one of two Second Stage events in Florida.

The cut after four days ended up at 12-under par and Mork totaled an even-par 288. He shot 2-under par 70 on Thursday and a 1-under par 71 on Friday.

Pitzen and Mork will most likely play against each other in the Florida Hospital Pro-Am, which is Nov. 18-19 at Disney's Palm & Magnolia Golf Courses. The Palm and Magnolia host the PGA Tour's Children's Miracle Network Hospitals Disney Classic http://www.pgatour.com/r/schedule/each fall and this year's event takes place Nov. 8-11 in Lake Buena Vista, FL.
