    BROOKSVILLE, FL | Colombian Oscar Alvarez birdied his last three holes to finish off a dismal scoring day during his final round of the Web.com Tour's second stage of Q-School. Alvarez's 75 slid him into a tie for 39th place with a four-day total of 3-under-par 285. The PGA Latinoamerica tour player, who had tour caddie B.J. Pitzen of Lakeland on the bag, needed to shoot 69 or better in order to finish inside the top 19 players and ties on Friday and qualify for the final stage at PGA West in LaQuinta, California.

    BROOKSVILLE, FL | Colombian Oscar Alvarez posted eight birdies en route to a 5-under-par 67 during the first round of the Web.com Tour's second stage while B.J. Pitzen, of Lakeland, caddied at Southern Hills Plantation. Alvarez, who played full time on the 2013 PGA Tour's Latinoamerica NEC Series, sits in a tie for fourth-place out of 76 competitors. The top-19 players and ties after four rounds will advance to the Web.com Tour finals in La Quinta, California on Dec. 12-17 at PGA West's TPC Stadium and Nicklaus TC courses.

    BROOKSVILLE | Oscar Alvarez held his ground with a 1-under-par 71 Thursday during the third round of the Web.com Tour's second stage of Q-School at Southern Hills Plantation. Alvarez, who is being helped by tour caddie B.J. Pitzen, made three birdies and two bogeys to finish at 6-under-par 210 after three rounds. With one round to play, Alvarez sits in a tie for 20th place.

    BROOKSVILLE, FL | Oscar Alvarez called on B.J. Pitzen to caddie for him in the 2013 Web.com Tour's second stage of Q-School at Southern Hills Plantation Club, a Pete Dye design. Alvarez, a current member of the PGA Tour's Latinoamerica Tour, is currently ranked 1,319 in the Official World Golf Rankings. 

    Alvarez tees off at 8 a.m. on Tuesday off No. 10 tee and 9:14 a.m. on Wednesday off No. 1 tee. Alvarez is set to play with former PGA Tour and current Web.com Tour players Arjun Atwal and David Branshaw.


  5. PGA Tour Q-School: First Stage @ Grasslands Golf & Country Club (Lakeland, FL)

    LAKELAND, FL | B.J. Pitzen looped (caddied) for Adrien Mork, a tour professional originally from France who resides seasonally in Orlando, FL. 

    Mork shot 73-74 in the first two rounds at Grasslands Golf & Country Club to total a 3-over par 147. The cut-line at the mid-way point was 6-under par, so Mork needed to fire 15-under for the final two rounds in order to advance safely onto the PGA Tour's Second Stage of qualifying.
