    PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL | Charles Wang competed at the Web.com tour's Q school finals for the first time on Thursday, and began the first round with an even par 72. Along with the help of his caddie, B.J. Pitzen, Wang arrived at PGA national aiming at the top 45 position in order to grab his Web.com Tour card. Wang's beginning on the Fazio course put him into a tie for 81st after the first round. During Wang's second round of play, he charged up the leaderboard by posting a 3-under par round of 68 on the Champion Course, which plays host to the PGA Tour's Honda Classic.

    VENICE | Jiayi Zhou shot even-par 72 in the opening round of LPGA Tour Q-School's Second Stage Thursday to sit in a tie for twelfth place with B.J. Pitzen as her caddie. After round one, 112 players were at 4-over par or better while Yu Liu fired a 4-under par 68 to take the early lead. The top 80 and ties will advance to the third stage in Daytona Beach at LPGA International. Zhou maintained her top-15 position after completing her second round in 3-over 75 to sit at 145 in a tie for 15th place. Yu Liu and Grace Na are tied for first with a 142.

    DAYTONA BEACH, FL | Yu Liu's consistent play and 2-under par 70 put her into a tie for twelfth place after round one of the Symetra Tour Championship on the Jones Course at LPGA International. Thursday was the first round of competition Liu and Tour Caddy B.J. Pitzen teamed up together; Pitzen helped Liu finish with 28 putts after hitting 10 out of 14 fairways and 12 greens in regulation. Liu also got up and down six out of six times despite a 3-putt bogey on the 13th hole. Liu's birdies came at Nos. 3, 9 and 18 respectively after draining putts of 10, four and seven feet.

Stewart failed to make the cut, which fell at 4-over par 220, but aims to develop his game in order to prepare for mini-tour events while gaining much needed experience for a return trip to Q-School.
